Weigand employees were on hand at Habitat for Humanity of Greater Fort Wayne Fuller’s Landing, assisting with construction and painting. At Weigand Construction, our mission is to support the communities we live and work in. Weigand staff members are encouraged to make volunteer service a priority and each employee is given (2) full days of paid time off per year to volunteer for a 501(c)(3) of their choice.
Larry Weigand, Weigand Construction’s CEO, was a guest speaker at the Global Leadership Summit (GLS) 2017 at Ash Brokerage. GLS is a worldwide event where leaders from around the world share their experiences, inspirations, and lessons on personal and professional success and motivation. Local leaders from several different industries were invited on the 2017 panel.
2017 marked the 29th year for the Weigand Construction Duck Race to Benefit SCAN. Each plastic duck represents a raffle number and the top 25 ducks win cash and prizes. Proceeds from the event support SCAN (Stop Child Abuse and Neglect) in its many programs that support the mission to protect children, prepare parents, strengthen families, and educate the community. This year’s race exceeded SCAN, Inc’s fundraising goals by raising $217,500.
Weigand Construction was awarded the Safety Excellence Award (General Contractor Over 10,000 Hours) at the Building Contractors Association of Northeast Indiana’s spring banquet awards. Superintendents Josh Kirchner and Don Lambert were also awarded Supervisor Safety Awards for their outstanding efforts in promoting safety throughout 2016.
Weigand Construction was also an Excellence in Construction award winner on the Ash Skyline Project and for the work on The Golden and the Embassy Theatre.
The Embassy Theatre held their Marquee Gala presented by Weigand Construction on Wednesday, March 29. This fundraising event, included dinner and an intimate concert with Broadway star Billy Porter. Guests were seated on the Embassy state as the acclaimed Tony and Grammy award-winning vocalist perfomed. The event was capped at 250 to retain the intimacy of the performance.
Weigand Construction was honored as a nominee for “Outstanding Philanthropic Business” at the Association of Fundraising Professional’s National Philanthropy Day awards celebration. Pictured is CEO, Larry Weigand.
