The Fort Wayne Rescue Mission serves a variety of displaced individuals in the Greater Fort Wayne, IN area. In need of a larger facility, the organization sought to create a safe haven for the homeless. With additional space, the team would be equipped to expand restoration programs, supporting participants seeking a fresh start to a new life.
Concepted by Design Collaborative and built by Weigand Construction, the facility features:
The new facility is nearly four times the size of the previous location, giving the Rescue Mission the ability to house three times the number of residents. This opens the door for expanded critical services, with the organization working alongside up to 16 local agencies, facilitating a smooth merge back into society. Actively partnering with local businesses and colleges to create jump start programs and classes, the nonprofit now has space for vocational training, critical job skills, and education for displaced people. With the succesful completion and delivery of this building, the Fort Wayne Rescue Mission is transforming lives and fulfilling the promise of a new chapter for those experiencing hardship and need.
