Indiana Wesleyan University New Science-Nursing Building

Weigand Construction is constructing the New Science-Nursing Building at Indiana Wesleyan University that will be more than double the space currently available to nursing and new graduate health sciences programs.
This project will be a five-story, 111,250-square-foot facility that will connect to the current Burns Hall of Science and Nursing (renovations to be performed by WCI) by a three-story atrium. This project is scheduled to by complete by late summer 2013.

SCOT Industries - Opening New Facility in Indiana
April 16th, 2012
Construction on the 300,000-square-foot SCOT Industries building has begun! Scot Industries Inc., a manufacturer of steel tube and bar products, invited Weigand Construction to build a production facility in Auburn, investing $34.7 million and creating up to 65 jobs by 2014. The plant will be at the southwest corner of Interstate 69 and County Road 48. This project is scheduled for completion by early 2013.

Ronald McDonald House "Groundbreaking"

Construction started on a new Ronald McDonald House at the Parkview Regional Medical Center.
Because the facility is going into an existing building, organizers didn't hold a traditional groundbreaking ceremony. Instead, they hosted a ceremonial swing of the sledgehammers.

Pyromation, Inc. Ribbon-cutting

Pyromation, Inc. celebrated a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the recently completed facility expansion! The new construction consists of a 15,400 square foot building addition on the southwest side of Pyromation’s manufacturing facility. Maple Leaf Farms Facility Dedication

Maple Leaf Farms celebrated the opening of its new world headquarters at 101 E Church Street in Leesburg, Indiana with a ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony on October 27. The building was officially dedicated in honor of company founder Donald Wentzel and CEO Terry Tucker, who has served the third generation family-owned business for more than 40 years. Tucker performed the official ribbon cutting, marking the opening of the building.

Congratulations to Dekalb Health on their new Emergency, Imaging, Laboratory and Respiratory facilities expansion. The Ribbon Cutting was held last Sunday, October 23rd, 2011. The new addition is yet another beautiful piece of Auburn, IN.

St. Joseph High School - General Trades Package

Weigand has been awarded the general trades package for the new St. Joseph’s High School in South Bend, IN. This 170,000sf. high school will be complete for the start of the 2012 school year. Jim Iddins is project manager and Mark Shollenberger, superintendent on this project.

Multiple Projects Underway at Indiana University Health Goshen

We have two projects underway at Indiana University Health Goshen. The renovation of a surgery suite being converted to a hybrid operating room will be complete by August, 2011. Weigand Construction's second project on this campus is the construction of a new Central Utility Plant consisting of 7,000sf with a completion date of May 2012.
Renaissance Pointe YMCA - Splash Pad!

Weigand Construction is proud to have been awarded the new concrete splash pad that will be located at the Renaissance Pointe YMCA, 2323 Bowser Avenue Fort Wayne, IN. This project also includes the construction of a pavilion and maintenance building, all are slated to be complete by August 2011.
Kent Gilliom Attains National Design-Build Certification

University of Notre Dame - Badin Hall & Carroll Hall Renovations

Weigand Construction Company, Inc. is proud to announce that we have been awarded two projects with the University of Notre Dame! The Badin Hall Interior Renovation consisting of 5,000sf and the Carroll Hall Dorm Renovation consisting of 37,000sf. Both projects are scheduled to be complete in August 2011. CONGRATULATIONS George Williams, foreman on the Lutheran 5th Floor Project, received this year's Outstand Craftsperson award at April 19th’s MICCS awards banquet. George’s commitment to Weigand project safety policy’s and drive to go above and beyond the call of duty have earned him this honor.

Lutheran 5th Floor Steel Topping

Reece K. Wood Memorial Playground Dedication

Saturday 10/9/10 was a wonderful day. Not only did we have sunshine and warm weather, but it marked the dedication of Fort Wayne�s newest community resource. The Reece K. Wood Memorial Playground is now open to the public. The dedication was well attended and served as an opportunity to reflect on the lessons learned from a little girl who did not see her third birthday. Dekalb Memorial Hospital Expansion

DeKalb Memorial Hospital has unveiled plans for an $8.7 million expansion at its campus in Auburn. With Weigand Construction acting as Construction Manager and Moake Park as Architect, the project will involve the addition of a new emergency department, imaging and laboratory departments and a critical care unit. The hospital hopes to have all facilities operational by the end of 2011.
