Ball State University | Jo Ann Gora Student Recreation & Wellness Center Phase I

Part of an enormous 200,000 square foot project, Weigand was tasked with completing the first phase of construction for 33,000 square feet of the Jo Ann Gora Student Recreation and Wellness Center at Ball State University. A facility built with sustainability in mind, following completion of the project, the building earned a LEED Silver Certification for the methods, materials, and features that contributed towards a healthier environment. Averaging 3,000 student visits daily, "the rec" features built by WCI include an indoor turf practice facility and a five-court gymnasium for basketball and multipurpose space.
