Weigand Construction professionals collaborating on a project

The Premier Midwest Contractor

Weigand Construction traces its roots back to 1906 when stonesman Henry Weigand began installing and repairing many of Fort Wayne, Indiana's brick sidewalks. Four generations later, Larry Weigand has led the company to annual revenues of more than $500 million and positioned it as one of the premier commercial general contractors in the Midwest by expanding operations in Ohio and Michigan.

Delivering Dreams

At Weigand, every project begins and ends with asking the question: "How does the client feel?" For us, each job is more than just a building. We say that because for each client we serve, there's a different story to tell. For many, it's a dream that took years of fundraising, consideration, and planning just to begin.
Weigand team with client

No matter the industry we're operating in, Weigand specializes in actively listening to clients, anticipating and exceeding what they're hoping to get out of a construction project.

Clarity, Communication, Commitment

Our "Client for Life" philosophy earns the loyalty of like-minded, value-sensitive clients. We do this by delivering on our commitments, doing what we say we're going to do, approaching with honesty and transparency, and running to problems instead of avoiding them.

By concentrating on the details that distinguish our work from other commercial general contractors, we're building more than better solutions — we build success. It all goes back to our motto: Trust. Well Built.

Delivery Methods

We offer flexible delivery approaches tailored to your project's unique needs.

CMc/CMAR

Construction Manager as Constructor (CMc) / Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR). We join your project team early, providing preconstruction services, cost estimating, and value engineering. We take on the risk of delivering within a Guaranteed Maximum Price, giving you cost certainty while maintaining quality.

Design Build

A single point of responsibility for design and construction. Our design-build approach streamlines communication, reduces costs, and accelerates timelines by integrating the design and construction process under one contract.

General Contracting

Traditional general contracting with our in-house materials, labor, and equipment. We manage the entire construction process from bidding through completion, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to your plans and specifications.

Agency Construction Management (CMa)

As your agent, we provide third-party oversight of the construction process. We manage the project on your behalf, coordinating contractors, monitoring quality, and keeping your project on schedule and budget.

Building Information Modeling

In-House Building Information Modeling (BIM)

BIM is a form of computer-aided design (CAD) that generates a 3D model of a building based on its blueprints. This service allows the architect, contractor, and client to manage the full cycle of a project — from conception to construction, all the way to completion. Giving our project team the ability to adjust designs and fix structural flaws prior to construction, it's an indispensable part of the decision-making process for us and our clients.

Sustainability

With five LEED™ Accredited Professionals on staff, Weigand Construction integrates sustainability green features and building practices into project design and development. Each project is reviewed at a "Green" level to identify "Green ROI" options if desired by the owner.

Our Safety Commitment

Weigand Construction believes that efficiency, productivity and safety are important parts of the construction expertise we provide to our clients. We are absolutely committed to making our company the safest possible, not just to comply with federal, state and local requirements, but because we are committed to the well-being of our coworkers, our clients and the public. That’s why we maintain an aggressive safety program. Our outstanding safety history is just a perk.

Recognized as one of the top programs in the Midwest, Weigand’s safety program focuses on continuous improvements and collaboration. Since 2006, Weigand Construction has been a Certified Member of the Coalition of Construction Safety. With a safety performance ranked among the top 20% of construction companies in the nation, Weigand is also the only IOSHA-certified partner construction management firm based in Northern Indiana.

Proactive Measures

Our safety program is managed by a full-time, degreed safety director who assists field supervisors in implementing our stringent safety program through safety performance audits, training programs and the provision of solutions to safety concerns at job sites. Our employee safety training includes formal classroom instruction, as well as weekly company-wide safety meetings.

The Weigand Safety Committee regularly shares accident and near-miss reports, reviewing suggestions sent in by all members of our workforce. Circulating this information serves to prevent recurrence of incidents and drives the continuous improvement of our safety performance.
