Maple Leaf Farms Facility Dedication

October 27th, 2011

Maple Leaf Farms celebrated the opening of its new world headquarters at 101 E Church Street in Leesburg, Indiana with a ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony on October 27. The building was officially dedicated in honor of company founder Donald Wentzel and CEO Terry Tucker, who has served the third generation family-owned business for more than 40 years. Tucker performed the official ribbon cutting, marking the opening of the building.

The company purchased the former Leesburg Elementary School from Warsaw Community Schools in April. Since that time, the company has invested more than $4 million and hired Weigand Construction Co., Inc. to completely renovate the facility, transforming it into a modern world headquarters with offices for more than 80 employees. Updates to the facility included the addition of a state-of-the-art demonstration kitchen and company store, where patrons will be able to purchase the company's duck and down products.

"We are extremely proud of our new world headquarters and the significant milestone it represents for our growing
company," said Co-President John Tucker. "It is a tribute to the strong foundation our father and grandfather built for our business and a testimony to the foresight they had in positioning Maple Leaf Farms as a global leader in the duck industry."

"We are very appreciative of the cooperation and support we have received from the Leesburg community," said Co-
President Scott Tucker. "We view our move to Leesburg as a win-win for our company and the community."
