Bio

Upon graduating from the Building Construction Management program at Purdue University in 1987, Jeff spent 9 years working as an estimator and project manager in the Lafayette market constructing banks, churches, schools, retail, fast food, industrial and commercial projects. Jeff joined Weigand Construction in 1996 and worked as an estimator and project manager on projects such as Steel Dynamics Cold Mill Facility, Bluffton High School, Cass County Jail and Noble County Jail. In 2005, he opted for a career change and decided to pursue estimating as a full time position managing the estimating department for Weigand and all facets of the bidding as well as leading Weigand's preconstruction services. When he is not estimating for Weigand, he is at home in the yard estimating how long it will take to clean up the mess his boys have made!





What is the best part of my job?




The day to day challenges. We are exposed to a wide variety of projects ranging from small interior renovations, post tensioned parking garages, and waste water facilities to large scale new hospital construction worth hundreds of millions in construction value. I enjoy working with the estimating team and project managers to help deliver a quality product to our owners whether through competitive bidding or negotiated contracts. It is very satisfying to drive by a Weigand project and know that our team is a part of its success.
